Stephanie Bailey, MSFP, CFP®

Stephanie has loved finances since she was a teenager balancing her sister’s checkbooks. It took a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Washington State University and many years of managing her family’s finances to realize her passion and desire to support others with charging forward toward their own financial freedom.

Stephanie joined the finance world after staying at home with her children for sixteen years. She has a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University. Stephanie passed the CFP® exam in 2020 and completed the experience requirement to obtain her CFP® marks with NorthAvenue. She is grateful to be a part of each client’s financial journey and especially enjoys helping families reach their goals.

As a military spouse, Stephanie has lived all over the United States. She has called Wyoming, Washington, Maryland, Arizona, California, Missouri and Texas home.  Stephanie’s greatest joy is her husband, Travis, and three daughters: Lauren, Rachel, and Abigayle. When faced with downtime, Stephanie loves to watercolor and bake.

Hannah Ghoubrial

Hannah Ghoubrial is currently an Associate Advisor Apprentice with plans to become an Associate Advisor after passing the Series 65 at the end of 2023. The Series 65 is an exam that is necessary to pass to become a Registered Investment Advisor Representative with NorthAvenue. She will be working closely with Kristen and Stephanie to provide support to about forty NorthAvenue clients.

Hannah is originally from outside of Cleveland and is now living in downtown Columbus. Luckily, she is familiar with the area because she spent four years in Granville, OH.  She graduated from Denison University this past May and obtained degrees in Economics and Psychology. She feels that her studies will help her with the analytical and interpersonal skills needed to be an effective and successful lead financial advisor one day.

During the academic year, she interned at a non-profit in Licking County. She loved working in a field where she had an opportunity to help others and felt her work had an impact. She knew after graduation she was going to pursue something similar, and Northavenue’s core values really resonated with her. She looks forward to being of help to our clients. When Hannah is not working, you will likely find her trying a new coffee shop, reading a book, or watching a crime documentary.

Christina Graves

Christina spent most of her prior career with Columbus City Schools as an elementary school teacher. After attending a pro bono one-on-one counseling session with a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner), she immediately saw the value in receiving advice from a financial professional. She wanted to learn more and eventually decided to pursue a career change.

Now Christina is in the process of preparing for the CFP® certification exam. As she progressed through her CFP® coursework, she discovered her interest in providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management at a fee-only firm.  She feels that she found all of those things at NorthAvenue!

Christina is from Central Ohio and currently lives in Reynoldsburg with her husband Romell and their 3 kids: Romell, Titus, and Journee. In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time at the park, going to concerts, and watching sports.

Jeff Theado

Jeff is a proven leader in helping institutions find ways to drive efficiency. Thinking he would like to get into coaching football, he graduated from Ohio State in 2008 with a degree in Sports Leadership but ended up working in warehouse management for the university for a few years before joining Fisher’s MBA program in 2013. Upon graduating in 2015 he went to work for a global manufacturing firm headquartered in central Ohio until coming to NorthAvenue full-time in 2021. At NorthAvenue Jeff is responsible for behind-the-scenes preparation for client meetings and tax returns, as well as handling a myriad of process improvements for the company.

Outside of work, Jeff tries to find time for just about everything, but his true passions are athletics and exploring. In addition to his love of team sports, he rides his bike annually in Pelotonia and completed Ironman Wisconsin in 2022. When not training or traveling with his wife Kristen, Jeff enjoys relaxing at home playing video games or reading.

Chris Smith

Chris joined NorthAvenue after a 15-year career in massage therapy and exercise rehabilitation, followed by a year in a medical office where he excelled in multiple administrative roles. Providing a high level of care and compassion for those he served, Chris brings that same passion to assisting clients at NorthAvenue!

Growing up, Chris spent most of his life in the Boy Scouts of America, learning leadership and teamwork at every level and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. This paired well with Chris’s love for the outdoors and being active. As an adult, he became an avid rock climber and mountaineer, continuing to spend as much of his life outdoors as he can. When stuck indoors, Chris enjoys watching OSU football and playing guitar.

Born and raised in central Ohio, Chris currently lives in Canal Winchester with his wife of 4 years, Jacci, and their dogs Buddy and Suzy.

Emily Paulus

After graduating from The Ohio State University in 2019 with a Hospitality Management degree, Emily pursued financial services within the auto and home loan industries. She enjoyed the close contact with clients while helping them tailor loans to meet their financial goals and is grateful to now be able to provide support on comprehensive financial planning.

Working in sales based roles for six years, she was devoted to acting only in the best interest of the client after providing proper explanation and education, particularly when it concerned their financial future. Because of this, she knew she would only work with a fee-only company and was drawn to NorthAvenue’s commitment to ethics.

Emily is originally from Columbus and now lives in Canal Winchester with her husband Josh and daughter Avery. While in school, Emily worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and a bread baker and still enjoys these on the volunteer and hobby level. She also loves hiking and walks with her dog, Goldie.

As a Senior Tax Accountant, specializing in estate and trust tax laws, she boasts 30 years of experience as a practicing CPA. And, while Bobbie no longer maintains her CPA certification, she still brings serious tax expertise to the NorthAvenue team.

Bobbie and husband John reside in Westerville, Ohio. Both are Buckeye football fans as well as enthusiastic travelers and artists. She escapes it all by cozying up with a good book, preferring British history and mysteries.
